The Portfolio Management team seeks to optimize performance objectives and appropriately manage risk through consistent data-driven decision making for a variety of closed-ended alternative investment strategies, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate. The Portfolio Management team partners with investment teams, capital markets, engineering and investor relations to achieve superior outcomes for AWM’s clients.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
- Conduct fund level corporate modeling to drive projection analysis, liquidity strategy, and portfolio construction
- Manage a series of closed-ended alternative investment funds and related investment vehicles
- Present strategic analysis and data-driven recommendations to senior management through written and oral presentations
- Assist with deal allocation for funds with overlapping mandates
- Monitor hard and soft constraints at the fund level (including side letter terms, tax rules)
- Assist with the development and recommendation of dividend policy (as applicable)
- Monitor and analyze industry trends to assist with strategic decisions
- Assist with leading and coordination of board meetings and related materials
- Research and prepare ad-hoc strategic analyses
- Collaborate and coordinate with investing, debt capital market and asset management teams on transaction timing and impact
Skillset Required:
- 4+ years of experience in a financial services or corporate FP&A setting; private asset experience preferred
- Strong analytical orientation; prior financial modeling experience preferred
- Strong communication (verbal and written), multi-tasking and time management skills
- Desire and ability to perform financial and valuation analysis
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a small team, exhibit initiative and be proactive
- Collaborative team player
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
